Baton Rouge College

BRC strives to offer instruction in paralegal studies to students in metropolitan communities throughout south Louisiana with population bases that can support an auxiliary classroom, to graduate and find employment for those individuals in their respective careers, and to offer continuing education for individuals interested in changing careers or for those individuals who are interested in additional or specialty career training and/or seminars for non-vocational purposes.

What does BRC have to offer?

  • An intimate private school environment. BRC is a close-knit, small school that cares about your needs. It thinks of every student as a part of the alumni family and establishes long lasting relationships with graduates. It is easy for students to form connections with each other because BRC's classes are small; members of study groups frequently become friends for life.
  • Education that is to-the-point. With no waste of time, you will immerse yourself in learning. Depending on which program you choose, you will go to school for 30-60 weeks.
  • Over 110 paralegal courses are available. These courses have been designed to focus on the areas of the law in which it is most likely that you will work. There isn't another Louisiana college or university that has anywhere near the courses offered at BRC Paralegal Studies. Naturally, you are not expected to take all 110 courses. You only take those that you need.
  • They have an extremely qualified faculty. You will have the chance to have between eight and twelve various lawyers as instructors while you are taking classes - this is excellent for networking! Attorneys who want to assist students in getting jobs, enjoy what they do, and take time to teach even though they have a busy schedule. Graduates have been employed by a lot of teachers for their law offices.
  • Help with obtaining school supplies. To save you money, the BRC site allows you to download and print workbooks and certain other course materials free of charge. So that you can concentrate on your education, BRC attempts to contain costs.
  • The application process is user-friendly. It takes only a few moments to fill out BRC's application via the Internet. After the application is submitted, it is processed immediately. Once your information has been gone over by BRC's staff, they will contact you swiftly.
  • Financial assistance. Offered to those who are qualified are Federal Student Loans, Pell Grants, and other sources that are private. In 2005, no other college or university's students had a lower default rate than BRC's students. The default rate of BRC's students was 0.00% that year, and the history is always one of being low. Experts in the field of education have said that this reflects well on the school, the program, their employment assistance services, the instructors, and their office personnel.
