Broadcasting

Broadcasting is ingrained in the history of Brown. In 1946 the School of Broadcasting was started by Richard and Helen Brown to prepare people for employment in the blossoming field of radio broadcasting.

There is now a revolution occurring in communications which is being fed by the Internet, on demand video, satellite radio, and podcasts. The School of Broadcasting allows students to gain the necessary talents to create audio and video messages for an information-hungry world.

Design

The field of design can give many rewards; however, it is demanding. Brown College, through its School of Design, pushes students to perform well, hone their talent, and improve upon their technical abilities. There are many different types of programs offered by Brown College that will match your sort of creativity.

Criminal Justice

Have you been looking for a course of study for a criminal justice degree in Minnesota? At Brown College, the B.S. in Criminal Justice is taught using both theory and practice. The Criminal Justice degree curriculum is intended to help students get ready for entry-level employment as criminal justice professionals. The Criminal Justice program examines the roles, functions, operations and system of the courts, corrections, probation, and related fields.

Students are grounded in the fundamentals, which allows the development of a broad understanding of criminal justice from both the sociological and psychological perspectives. The Criminal Justice degree program features a general education curriculum that allows graduates to develop necessary interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills so in demand by employers.
