Health, Assistance, and Nursing

The Health, Assistance, and Nursing program prepares students for careers as nursing assistants in both private and public health care facilities.
This program includes settings in a versatile classroom and laboratory environment, and didactic, as well as practical hands-on experience.
Students will participate in clinical meetings to discuss many different aspects of the career they are interested in.
Practical Nurse Program
Are you interested in seeking employment in practical health? Do you want to team with other health care professionals in the areas of acute care, schools, long-term care, or private care?
If this describes you, consider a career in practical nursing.
The CDI College Practical Nursing certificate program will prepare you for employment in various positions involving medical, operational, and rehab care.
You'll be prepared to take on the job responsibilities of a practical nurse after finishing this complete 51-week long training curriculum.
Classroom and lab experiences meet the course requirements of the standards set by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of British Columbia.
Two general approaches are taken when teaching these classes: holistic and clinical, and these help you become more accustomed to your nursing studies.
Hands-on training and overseen tasks are offered in acute care institutions, the gerontology ward, and health care centers.
After the third practical placement, you can participate in training to help you learn how to find a career and transition to your career as a professional.
