George Fox University
First established as Friends Pacific Academy in 1885, the George Fox University has been providing a solid Christian education for more than 100 years.
A Christian institution of the humanities, sciences, and professional studies, George Fox University dates back to 1891, when it was established by early Quakers. Among their offerings are bachelor's degrees in over forty fields, degree programs for adults, five seminary degrees, and eleven different master's and doctoral programs. Approved by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, George Fox University also received the Forbes college rank of 2009-10 of highest-rated Christian college in the United States.
All workers, including faculty and staff, are Christians, in keeping with the university's idea of Christian higher learning. Over 3,300 students go to classes at the residential campus of the school in Newberg, its centers in Portland, Salem, and Boise, and other teaching locations in Oregon.
