Tailored to meet students' needs, Grand Canyon University's online courses were specially created. The instructors have a mission to create an ideal web-based scholastic atmosphere. Students get feedback from instructors and have access to posing questions to teachers or classmates.

Web-based programs are taught by peers; as a result students move forward together through a series of core courses, and then specific area of concentration.

Following are some of the benefits to be gained when the cohort model is utilized in the web-based educational experience:

  • Form lifelong relationships with other cohort members
  • Benefit from the support and encouragement you will get from cohort members
  • Use your understanding of business ideas in all of your courses
  • Gain knowledge and skills as you work through a class sequence
  • Work together on one class at a time
  • Totally comprehend the class progression
  • Make plans for your graduation date

Grand Canyon University Online is committed to making your online experience as simple as possible. They use Angel technology in all of their class offerings as a way of assuring consistency for their students. You will have an Angel tutorial to get you acquainted with the Internet structure at the beginning of each class. Your account will provide access to all the relevant information, like the course outline, staff information, and discussion boards. You will also have a digital drop box which is where you will deposit any completed assignments.

Each class demands approximately 10 to 12 hours of work. Because the coursework is purposely asynchronous, you can respond to message boards, view notes from the instructor, and work on research and projects at a time that is convenient for you.

Classwork includes reading and writing, sharing in web discussion panels, project assignments, and researching. The 16-week semesters are split in half, with pupils enrolling in two classes each semester period. Courses are focused. Schedules are arranged so students are enrolled in a single course at a time. Concentrating on a single course allows pupils the chance to maximize every available lesson. New classes become available to students every two months.

Angel is the appropriate name for the electronic system that students take their exams through. The majority of courses use alternative means of assessing student progress, such as written papers, projects, or work portfolios.

Classes are not held at a certain time, but student must log in approximately four times weekly, to communicate with teachers, classmates, and to meet the course dates. Pupils in cyber campuses proceed through the curriculum together with class participation. You won't be totally on your own since there is the opportunity for interaction with fellow classmates.
