International Academy of Design & Technology Online

Established in 1977, the International Academy of Design & Technology Online provides a broad array of web-based degree plans. The degree programs that can be earned online include graphic design, web design, web development, fashion merchandising, advertising and design, game production, and digital media production.

A Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design and an Associate of Science degree are offered. These degrees provide graduates with the skills needed to work as a graphic designer, junior art director, or media designer. Layout, illustration, advertising, and digital imaging are a few of the areas covered in this curriculum of study.

The International Academy of Design offers a program to earn a Bachelor's degree in Web Development. A sampling of some of the classes they provide in this degree program are digital illustration, digital imaging, web mastering, multimedia design, and interface design and database management.

You may also work toward your Bachelor's degree in Advertising and Design. Classwork, in combination with a hands-on intern position, lets pupils acquire the essential professional skills for the workplace. Methods in advertising, fundamentals of design, thinking creatively, advertising storyboarding, page layout, photography, ad writing, and environmental graphics are included in the coursework. This major, in addition, teaches production of pre-press.

As pupils near completion of the program, they have unlimited access to the career services office. The student works closely with the department to put together an employment portfolio that will showcase the graduate's work for employers. The department helps students polish resumes, cover letters, and interview techniques, compare employment offers, and so on.

Financial assistance is offered for needy pupils in order to pay for distance learning courses. Students may apply for aid in the form of Pell and SMART grants, as well as grants for Academic Competitiveness and Florida Student Assistance awards. Among the student lending options are Stafford, PLUS, or unaffiliated loans. The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship and Military Freedom Scholarship are just two of the scholarships students can access.
