Degree Programs
Johnson & Wales University continually sets the bar for culinary education and excellence with its distinction of being the first school of its kind to receive accreditation from the American Dietetic Association, its International Baking & Pastry Institute, and its distinguished culinary nutrition program. They offer a truly creative Bachelor of Science degree, combining Food Service Management with the student's choice of Pastry Arts or Culinary or Baking courses.
JWU offers two degrees in culinary disciplines in a span of four years: the Associate of Science (A.S.) degree at the end of the first two years, and subsequently, the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree on completion of the latter two years. After you receive your traditional B.S., you might want to concentrate in Baking & Pastry Arts, Beverage Service Management, Contemporary Pastry Arts, Culinary Capstone Labs, Sommelier, or Wellness & Sustainability.
All Associate in Science degree graduates will receive first-level ACF certification, which is normally accomplished by industry professionals who must pass an exam first.
Additional offerings include a Culinary Arts Diploma curriculum, Chef's Choice recreational cooking course series, and other non-credit beverage certificate curricula.
