MTI Community College
Since 1988 when their institution was established as a career training center, MTI Community College have been dedicated to offering the highest quality career training and education possible.
They were previously known as Metro Training Institute, consisting of a small staff of committed educators working to meet the needs of students.
In each of their program areas, after frequent consultation with agencies and employers, they have developed some first rate programs, have attracted a great group of instructors, and have really grown over the years.
They changed their name to Metro College in the mid 1990's, and in 2003 they changed their name to MTI Community College. They felt that their new name was a more appropriate reflection of their dedication to the community with which they serve, encompassing federal and provincial governments, individual British Columbians and international students.
Quality training for meaningful jobs has always been their focus, and that won't change as they continue to expand their facilities.

- They are the biggest trainer of early childhood educators in British Columbia.
- Their health care staff has alliance agreements with each health authority in the province of BC, along with all of the private laboratories in the province.
- Over the course of their studies, MLA pupils do 80 to 100 blood draws and become prepared to successfully take the nationwide test for CSMLS Certification.
- MTI will set up practicum placement for all required practicums.
- MTI provides graduates with lifetime refresher classes and placement assistance from the Graduate Services Department.
- Programs are flexible with day and evening courses.
- MTI has continuous intake in most of its programs, so students can base their training around their schedule.
- Graduates of the MTI Dental Assistant program achieve better-than-average scores on the National Dental Assisting Board Examinations. The pass rate last year of the MTI grads who took the exam was one hundred percent.
