Since its founding in 1971, the Ohio Institute of Photography (OIP) has remained a leader in providing specialized and innovative photographic training.
- Ohio Institute of Photography relocated to the downtown area after just a little over three years later, due to the increasing student body with more demand for space.
- Due to the demand for well-trained employees, in 1991 OIP changed its name to Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology (OIP&T).
- Educational Medical, Inc. purchased OIP&T in July of 1993.
- The medical assisting program was created in 1994.
Some of the exciting resources available in the curriculum include professional imaging technology and desktop media.
- In 1995, there was the inclusion of the program of medical office management.
- The parent company EMI changed its name to Quest Education Corporation in September of 1998.
- Kaplan, in July 2000, bought Quest.
- Quest changed its name, in December 2002, to Kaplan Higher Education Corporation.
