Therapeutic Massage

Diploma in Therapeutic Massage – This program includes the core courses you’ll need to gain the skills and knowledge required for entry-level employment in the massage therapy field and to help you get started in your new career ASAP. The course is comprised of 50 credits and may be finished in 10 months.

Associate of Science in Therapeutic Massage – Giving the graduate greater opportunity for career advancement, this program includes the same core courses as the diploma program and adds the general education courses required for a college-level associate's degree. Taking 16 months to complete, this program is 71 credits. (Note: for students transferring in a completed OSMT diploma, it should only take about 6 months to finish the associate's degree.)

Medical Assisting

Diploma in Medical Assisting – Medical assistants are responsible for the administrative and clinical tasks necessary to run the offices of physicians, podiatrists, chiropractors, optometrists, pediatricians, and other doctors. Taking medical histories and recording vital signs, giving injections, explaining treatment procedures to patients, preparing patients for examination, tending to wounds, and assisting the physician during patient exams are just a few of the clinical duties a medical assistant may be called upon to perform. Entry-level medical assistant positions are available for students who successfully complete this all-inclusive 12-month program.

Associate of Science in Medical Assisting – This program combines a well-rounded general education with the core medical assisting courses for those students who are looking for opportunities to advance in their careers. Students normally complete the core courses on campus and then take the general education courses online, for a program total lasting 16 months. This is a 65-credit program.

Medical Billing and Insurance Coding

Diploma in Medical Billing and Insurance Coding – Medical billing and insurance coding professionals with top training ensure that insurance companies and patients get proper billing for the health care they receive from a provider. The billing process is greatly simplified by insurance coders who learn a universal code system used to label each health care procedure. Someone with an interest in health care and the human body may find this career of interest. Those who are career oriented will be especially suited to this field. Preparation is provided for entry in this field with this twelve month diploma.

Associate of Science in Medical Billing and Insurance Coding – In 16 months, you will have completed this 65 credit program. Graduates of this degree will have increased opportunities for career growth and advancement through combining general education classes with the core medical billing and insurance coding curriculum. The student can begin working in the field while finishing the general education courses online since the core classes can be taken first.

Health Information Management

Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management – Those who wish to be experts in the management, security, and analysis of electronic patient files will find this program to be of interest. Medical science, insurance coding and diagnosis, information systems, legal and ethical requirements of health care delivery, employee management, and health care data analysis are the topics of study that will be covered. There are 124 credits in this program and it normally requires 36 months to finish. Students will take some classes on campus and some classes online in a hybrid format. Through AHIMA, graduates of this CAHIIM-approved program will be eligible to take the Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) credential.
