The program exceeds national certification standards, as well as those set by most state and municipal governments for licensure. To be prepared for success in today's competitive massage therapy marketplace, and to attain the skills you will need to completely understand and deliver massage with art and flair, you will want to attend UCMT's Professional Massage Therapy Program.

The Professional Massage Therapy Program provides students with instruction in light energy work as well as structural bodywork modalities. They teach Eastern as well as Western theory and technique. Students also learn how to treat specific pain and dysfunction. They provide instruction in a holistic approach to health and healing.

Students are instructed in the restorative qualities of tactile therapy. Also, because they are teaching practitioners in the field of health care, the Professional Massage Therapy course of study includes training in CPR, First Aid, Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology. Not only do students become proficient in bodywork at the UCMT Family of Schools (FOS), but they are also trained to be successful in the real world, either as an employee, an independent contractor, or as a sole practitioner.

Students learn a broad spectrum of approaches. Students finish a well-rounded Professional Development course under the Professional Massage Therapy Program curriculum. In this course, you will find subjects such as techniques of enrollment, starting and operating a massage therapy business, the integration of sound business practices with a holistic approach to health care, presentation, advertising, résumé writing, and job interviewing skills. In this course you will learn how to integrate sound business practices with a holistic approach to health care.
