Basic Skin Care Training Program
Students can graduate as experienced Estheticians when they take this 720-hour program that provides training in the theory and practice of Esthetics that meets and exceeds the licensing requirements set forth by the Commonwealth of Virginia. It also provides students with lots of hands-on, real-world clinical experience. Focusing on the structure and function of the skin, the courses will train students to rigorously assess and meet the distinct requirements of each customer. Students will learn to analyze ingredients and develop signature "green" skin care treatments for spa clients who are eco-conscious by concentrating on cosmetic chemistry and working with totally organic, paraben-free products. A heavy foundation is given by this program in the general and applied sciences. Courses in business as well as career development, plus instruction in Virginia statutes are provided too. Education in the theory of color, artistry in makeup, body treatments, basic facials, and the removal of hair is provided by the program.
