West Coast University is a private, proprietary institution that is coed and non-sectarian. This is West Coast University's 100th year in California. For more than a century, West Coast University has been providing an education and offering preparation for adult students to find employment and make a difference.

Established initially in 1909 as an ophthalmology school, WCU has expanded for one hundred years – increasing and improving programs – and was among the first schools to provide bachelor’s degree curriculums for working grownups in the 1950’s. New leadership emerged when the University was reorganized in May of 1997.

WCU focuses their efforts towards leading health care education and bringing in the highest caliber faculty and staff.
